Already thinking about the leftover feast you’ll have the morning after Thanksgiving? Yamuna Jawad, a famous food blogger, says there are plenty of creative recipes for Thanksgiving leftovers as mains or sides.
Jawad, who runs the blog Feel Good Foodie, said her favorite recipe for Thanksgiving leftovers is turkey panini, which she makes with all the ingredients she already has on hand after the holiday feast.
“It’s a really classic and easy way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers and feed friends and family who might be in town the day after Thanksgiving,” Jawad said. First, Jawad says you’ll need to heat your panini press or skillet over medium-high heat.
Spread mayonnaise on both sides of the bread and place the sliced turkey breast on top. Next, add fresh thyme leaves, then cranberry sauce, and finally provolone cheese.
Jawad then told them to cover the sandwich with another piece of bread and then transfer the sandwich to a panini press or hot skillet.
Pressing gently will help the whole sandwich stick together. After that, Jawad said, just cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, until the bread is crisp and golden brown and the cheese is melted.

“Sandwiches are the best option if you’re feeding a large group of people, because they’re so versatile,” Jawad said. “It’s so easy to eat turkey and cranberries with bread and snack on leftovers.”
However, Jawad added that if you have a large amount of leftover turkey, you can still use it by storing it in the freezer for turkey rice soup.
