Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 have been redesigned for the first time in years, making them look a lot more similar to the AirPods, and now we have a hands-on look at the earbuds and their retail packaging, as well as a set of LED strips that are likely to be found on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
We’ve seen the stem design and new case for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro a few times now, and while the updated design is sleek, we’ve only seen it in renders until now. Tonight we get a closer look at Samsung’s upcoming earbuds.
Posted images Ice Universe On Twitter/X The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro come in the same grey colour we’ve seen for a while now, but this is the first time we’ve seen them in the flesh. As we’ve seen before, the design is very similar to Apple’s AirPods Pro, with the orange and blue accents seen on the Watch 7 also clearly visible.
Samsung’s fast pairing system was also exposed, suggesting that Google’s Fast Pair system probably won’t be used just yet – in theory both could work, but that could quickly lead to confusion on Samsung phones that are capable of using both systems.
In one image, we can clearly see that at least the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have an LED strip along the stem, and in one image the LED strip is on, while in another it’s off.
We’ve speculated before that this might be the case, but it was hard to judge from previous images. These hands-on images show that the use of LEDs many It’s more obvious.
However, the purpose of these LEDs is still unclear.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro soon, likely alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 at its Unpacked event on July 10.
