Sony Pictures Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights opens at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, August 30th and will premiere at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 5th.
The Ghostbusters-themed haunted house will feature famous ghosts harassing humans, as well as additional creatures and characters from the popular classic series.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire takes fans to New York City, where the Spengler family teams up with the original Ghostbusters, who are in charge of a top-secret laboratory. The discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes the vengeful spirit of Galacca, who threatens to freeze everyone to death. Together, old and new Ghostbusters must protect the city and save the world from a second ice age.
Guests can explore Ray’s Occult Bookshop, the Ghostbusters’ new high-tech laboratory and containment facility, and New York City’s dank sewer system.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood will take place on select nights through Sunday, November 3. Guests will encounter eight all-new haunted houses, a spooky array of scare zones and the iconic Terror Tram.
Tickets for Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights are available in a variety of options, including General Admission, Universal Express, day/night tickets after 2pm, Early Access tickets that allow entry to select haunted houses starting at 5:30pm (subject to change) before the event’s scheduled start time of 7pm, Premium RIP Tours, and popular passes that allow guests to experience the scares multiple times, Frequent Fear and Ultimate Fear.
Universal Studios Hollywood also offers Halloween Horror Nights vacation packages.
Universal Orlando will debut 10 all-new cinematic-quality haunted houses, five scare zones filled with hundreds of terrifying creatures and live shows. Select tickets for Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights are on sale now, including overnight tickets, Express Passes, the RIP Tour with skip-the-line access to haunted houses and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour, which takes you on a daytime tour of select haunted houses lit up for a glimpse into how horror comes to life.
Guests can also stay in and scream and save up to $200 (for a seven-night stay) with a special vacation package that includes a stay at a Universal hotel with exclusive perks, including overnight admission to the event, admission to all three Universal Orlando theme parks, expedited entry to the event with exclusive Halloween Horror Nights gate access, and early admission to the theme parks during the day.
Tickets are also on sale now for Universal Orlando’s Premium Scream Night on Thursday, August 29. This unprecedented one-night-only event gives a limited number of fans the opportunity to experience this year’s haunted houses before the event officially opens on Friday, August 30 and includes access to all 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and live entertainment. Premium Scream Night guests will also enjoy shorter wait times, phased entry by group into the haunted houses, unlimited access to select food and non-alcoholic beverages, a souvenir certificate, access to select attractions at Universal Studios Florida and free self-parking after 5 p.m. Only a limited number of tickets will be available.
