The Pixel 8’s corners appear to be more rounded than the Pixel 7, but the curves aren’t as pronounced as on the recently leaked Pixel 8a prototype.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro should be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and a new Sky Blue trim, according to these leaked renders. So it looks like Google intends to introduce two new colorways with the Pixel 8 Duo, and Obsidian will return with the Pixel 7. At least one leak suggests there could be a matte black version of the Pixel 8. Variant of obsidian mentioned here.
It’s interesting to note that Google plans to refresh the Pixel Buds Pro in a new porcelain and sky blue color, lending some credence to this new render leak. To be fair, Google has done its part to demystify the Pixel 8’s color options, with the Peony Rose variant of the Pixel 8 revealed a few weeks ago and @evleaks showing off its Sky Blue colorway. Overheating is one such concern, with recent reports claiming that the all-new Tensor G3 chip will run cooler than the G2 found in the Pixel 7 thanks to Samsung Foundry’s FO-WLP packaging technique. There is a possibility. Google is also expected to announce its second-generation smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 2, during the October 4th event. The new wearable is rumored to be quite an upgrade over its predecessor, but recent revelations suggest it arrived a year later than originally planned.
