(ABC 6 News) – On Monday, July 1, there will be temporary ramp closures at Highway 14 eastbound and Highway 57 in Kasson.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says this is so workers can pave the ramp.
The on-ramp from Highway 57 to Highway 14 eastbound and the off-ramp from Highway 14 eastbound to Highway 57 are scheduled to be temporarily closed on July 1, weather permitting.
MnDOT says crews will work as quickly as possible and the ramp will be fully open once the work is complete, which is expected to be completed during the day.
During this time, drivers will need to use alternative routes.
This work is part of the Highway 14 project, which is making the following improvements:
- To construct J-Turn Highway 14 and Dodge County Road 9
- install High voltage cable median strip Between Dodge Center and Kasson
- Renovating pavement between Kasson and Byron
- Drainage improvement and restoration
- Rehabilitating the eastbound and westbound Highway 14 bridges over Highway 57. The work will include new end columns, approach panels and expansion joints.
- upgrade Road Weather Information System (RWIS) site New pavement sensors and processing equipment installed near Byron
