France said generative AI is a valuable tool for cybersecurity practitioners. “Generative AI can improve the signal-to-noise ratio by helping manage and contextualize large amounts of security data. Security teams are more efficient because they can provide context,” said France.
In an interview with the Information Security Media Group at Black Hat USA 2023, France also discussed:
- The need for CISOs to understand both technology and business.
- The impact of geopolitics on cybersecurity.
- Advice for aspiring professionals.
France has over 25 years of experience in enterprise IT and security in media and telecommunications. Prior to joining ISC2, he worked for the GSMA and LexisNexis.
