According to forecasts published by the Automobile Club de Portugal, diesel fuel is expected to become 2.5 cents cheaper, while gasoline prices are expected to remain unchanged (ACP).
According to data from the Directorate General for Energy and Geology, these estimates come at a time when the average price of simple diesel is €1,586 per litre, while the cost of simple 95 petrol is on average €1,646/litre. (DGEG).
Earlier this week, both diesel and gasoline prices rose.
However, the ACP points out that these forecasts were “prepared on the assumption that the temporary tax relief measures applied by the government to cushion price increases will be maintained.”
