Elden Ring: Shadow of the Eld Tree Spoiler Alert! If you haven’t completed the DLC and don’t want spoilers, turn back.
Ann Elden Ring A player got incredibly lucky during a fight against the final boss of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, winning the battle thanks to a glitch that allowed them to deal 32,000 damage in one hit, instantly killing an incredibly tough enemy.
I say “lucky,” but Reddit user Gneurshk__ doesn’t seem to think so. “What?! They took away my right to fight!!!” In a Reddit post, he shows the incredibly majestic Promised Mate Ladahn being taken down with a glitched hit.
What is this?! My chance to fight has been taken away!!! from r/EldenRing
It’s natural to see this as a loss, I suppose; having a final boss that easy to defeat literally takes away the pinnacle of a grueling campaign in which you overcame incredible odds to triumph. That said, there are many out there who simply accept the unfair fate the Outer Gods have dealt them, and are grateful to not have to struggle any further. I’m one of them: “I can’t tell you how much I wish this could happen to me.” reply Gneurshk’s video has 1,000 upvotes at the time of writing.
In contrast, Gneurshk is “angry” about missing out on the satisfaction of defeating Radahn fair and square, and wants a rematch. Unfortunately, Elden Ring doesn’t let you replay bosses, so Gneurshk says he’ll “just start over at NG+ 4 and face Radahn again.”
If you’re currently fighting Radahn, first, you’re not alone. Even community legend Let Me Solo Her said that the DLC’s toughest enemy “used to beat me” until she finally triumphed recently. Second, be sure to check out our guide on how to beat Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss, Radahn, which details the boss’ weaknesses, phases, and rewards.
“Weakening is inevitable”: Elden Ring: Shadow of the Eldtree players around the world are using the DLC’s ridiculous new duel shields to defeat bosses.
