Jakarta – The number of potential cyber-attacks against the public and private sectors in Indonesia has decreased over the past two years, according to data from the National Cyber Encryption Agency (BSSN).
The number of anomalous data traffic occurrences, used as an indicator of potential network abuse or security attacks, fell to 976 million incidents last year, a significant decrease from a peak of 1.6 billion in 2021.
As of August 27, authorities had detected only about 270 million such anomalies this year, and they say the number could fall further.
