Israeli cybersecurity startup Zero Networks Co., Ltd. The company announced today that it has raised $20 million in new funding to hire development, marketing and sales personnel to support its continued growth.
Founded in 2019, Zero Networks solves what the company calls one of the most complex problems in cybersecurity: moving laterally within an organization’s network to steal data or launch ransomware attacks. It aims to prevent attacks.
Zero Networks claims that existing segmentation solutions designed to address this problem are complex, labor-intensive, and do not provide comprehensive protection. In contrast, Zero Networks offers software-as-a-service solutions that learn network traffic and create security policies that limit user and machine access to only the assets they need. The platform introduces multi-factor authentication for access to sensitive protocols, stopping hackers from moving laterally within your organization.
Key features include the ability to reduce the footprint of security tools by consolidating network solutions, simplify security operations by reducing tactical activities, and hard-to-access assets such as custom applications and legacy protocols. Includes the ability to deploy MFA everywhere, including Zero Network also allows organizations to securely connect remote employees and third parties to their networks using Zero Trust principles and maximum network performance.
The company has experienced steady growth, with customers ranging from investment banks, retailers, manufacturing companies, hospitals, legal personnel, telecommunications companies, and even global container shipping companies in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
The Series B round was led by US Venture Partners Inc., with participation from Venrock Associates LP, F2 Venture Capital LP, Pico Venture Partners LLC, and Dmitri Alperovitch, co-founder and former chief technology officer of CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. .
“There are only two truly huge markets in cybersecurity,” Alperovitch said in a statement. “As a co-founder of CrowdStrike, I was honored to be able to help disrupt Endpoint Security, one of them.” We’re excited to help Zero Networks revolutionize the market for network security. ”
Including the new funding, Zero Networks has raised $45 million to date.
