Brevard Space Coast Launch Site Rocket SpaceX ULA NASA
Here’s a quick look at which rockets launch from Brevard’s various launch sites.
Florida’s Space Coast has seen a whopping 48 orbital rocket launches in the first half of the year. The question is whether the facility, home to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, can break the 100 launch barrier by December 31st.
For comparison, last year saw a record-breaking 72 orbital launches, setting a new annual record, but this streak is unlikely to last long.
This year, SpaceX was responsible for 45 of the first 48 launches on the Space Coast through the end of June. United Launch Alliance launched the remaining three rockets: the first Vulcan on a certification mission on Jan. 8, the last Delta IV Heavy on the NROL-70 mission on April 9, and the first launch of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft on June 5.
Below are the latest missions launching from Cape Canaveral. All launches are listed in Eastern Daylight Time. Note: Dates and times are subject to change periodically for various reasons.
