Kourtney Kardashian is reflecting on her awards show fashion past and admitting to some fashion faux pas.
The 45-year-old mother of four poked fun at her 2009 Emmy Awards outfit during the July 4 episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” on Hulu.
Courtney took a stroll down memory lane while getting changed for this year’s Emmy Awards, which she attended with her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
“I went to the Emmys 15 years ago and it felt very different,” Courtney recalled during the episode.
“I just threw on this grey thing. I don’t know the designer, I don’t know where I got it or how I wore it,” she joked.

Her 2009 outfit reference was a long, strapless grey chiffon dress with ruffled neckline.
At the time, the REM founder was pregnant with her first child, a son called Mason, who is now 14.
She wore her hair long and loosely curled and accessorized with chunky silver embellished bangles.
During the episode, Kourtney pulled out a photo of her posing next to her sister, Kim, on the red carpet in 2009.
She decided to present the ring to Kim over FaceTime, while joking about her fashion tastes at the time.
Kourtney remembered going to the awards show as Kim’s plus one at Ryan Seacrest’s invitation, but then going straight home after the red carpet was over.
“It was like a dark gray dress with these ugly bangles,” Kourtney told Kim about her choice of outfit at the time.
“I wore a white off-the-shoulder dress, blue-tinted eyeshadow, and got ready in the kitchen of your condo just down the street in Calabasas,” Kim recalled.
Now, things seem to have changed dramatically for the stars, with Courtney gearing up to head to the 2024 Emmy Awards, where her husband was set to perform in front of a star-studded audience.
This year, rather than a grey dress, she wore a chic black pantsuit with satin detailing.
Her husband, Barker, also wore a matching suit.
It was one of Kourtney’s first public appearances since giving birth to a baby boy, Rocky Thirteen Barker, on November 1.
Over the past few years, the star has been open about her fertility journey, with her and her husband undergoing multiple rounds of IVF in the hopes of conceiving.
“We stopped IVF two months before our wedding, so it took my body a year to get all the hormones and chemicals out of my body,” Kourtney revealed on the final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. InStyle.
“We weren’t trying at all. I wasn’t checking ovulation anymore. We decided to leave it in God’s hands and just assumed it wasn’t going to happen. We accepted it and… it was God’s plan,” she said.
After struggling with fertility treatments, Courtney was able to conceive naturally on Valentine’s Day.
But her pregnancy wasn’t always easy: She had to undergo emergency fetal surgery late in the pregnancy after it was discovered that Rocky had fluid in his lungs.
But thankfully, everything went smoothly during the surgery and she was able to rest comfortably.
She spoke about her experience on this season of the reality show.
“This is very unusual. [is] “The disease he had was very rare and we were lucky to catch it,” Courtney said.
“And thank you God that the surgery was successful. I don’t have words to express how grateful I am,” she said of her relief at the time.
