Tesla launched an upgraded version of its Model 3 vehicle on Friday. This is the first update to the second-best-selling model since its debut in 2017.
According to Tesla’s website, the “refreshed” Model 3 has a starting price of RMB 259,900 in China, compared to RMB 231,900 for its predecessor. The price increases come despite price competition in the world’s largest car market.
The sedan, which has a longer range, will be delivered in China in the fourth quarter.
Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory has been developing the new Model 3 for months, with mass production expected to begin in September. The company launched this model in markets such as China, Europe, and Japan.
