Logitech has announced an unexpected sequel to its decade-old Keys-To-Go keyboard: Keys-To-Go 2 ships this month with an all-new design, updated features, and more.
Original Logitech Keys-To-Go Announced in 2014The idea behind this keyboard was to provide the thinnest possible wireless keyboard, measuring just 6.1mm thick. The product has been sold ever since, Final minor refresh in 2022.
The Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is available now.
The new generation has an all-new design. Instead of a flimsy cloth keyboard, it has a plastic deck with neatly arranged switched keys. It also incorporates a cover that folds back to keep the keys ready for typing and covers the keyboard when not in use. The construction of Keys-To-Go 2 also uses recycled plastics, making up up to 36% of the total.
The keyboard is still super thin, measuring 4.57mm at its thinnest point and 8.77mm at its thickest point when closed.
That makes it a bit too thin for a charging port. Instead, it uses a coin cell battery that Logitech claims will last up to 36 months. The keyboard also supports Logitech’s “Easy-Switch” keys, which let you switch between multiple devices, and the Logi Options+ app for Windows and macOS, which also gives you customizable features.
The keyboard itself is a little smaller than the official tablet keyboard, but the keys are large and the layout is pretty standard.
Logitech will offer the Keys-To-Go 2 for $79.99; one for Apple devices and one with a “universal” layout. Both versions will be available in lilac, pale gray, and graphite colorways. Units will start shipping later this month. From the Logitech website:.
