A makeup expert has revealed the surprising contouring trick she uses to get rid of her double chin once and for all. Meanwhile, she hit back at her cruel trolls who made fun of her size and told her to “go to the gym.”
Originally from the Pacific Northwest of the United States, Courtney Worsham is a makeup enthusiast who frequently shares her extensive expertise on social media platforms, sharing tutorials, product reviews, and other beauty tips.
Last month, after receiving mean comments from haters about her appearance, Worsham showed viewers how she contours to hide her double chin in an epic response on the show. instagram reel.
In the video, set to Demi Lovato’s song “Confident,” Worsham begins by applying a cream contour stick to the area under her chin, near her neck.
Her contour product of choice is Elf Halo Glow, which retails for just $9.00.
She then began smudging her contours using a flat-top brush, moving the brush towards her cheeks, near her ears, and towards her neck.
To finish, she used a Beauty Blender sponge to make the look seamless, leaving a perfectly blended, flawless-looking result.
Worsham cut the video so viewers could see the final product. The product featured a bold berry lip, deep brown smokey eye, and long, voluptuous lashes.
Of course, she also showed off the final results of her blending efforts, which completely changed the look of her face and gave her a very sharp and incredibly beautiful jawline.
“This is an arm workout, right?” Worsham joked. captioned the reel.
In the comments section of the video clip, many users defended Worsham over the rude comments she was responding to in the video.
“The comments here are so rude and offensive,” one person wrote. “You look so great that I was inspired by this little makeup hack!” Thanks for participating and posting despite the backlash!”
Another agreed: “You are absolutely amazing.” Humans are the worst. ”
“Why do so many people associate chins with fat? I know a lot of petite people with the same chins, but I’m plus size, but I don’t have chins…” and others entered by .
‘You are beautiful! ‘ One TikTok user retorted, “I don’t listen to people I don’t like!”
Another user said: “I’m really annoyed at people who keep saying mean things.” “Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!” You are so beautiful I love watching your videos!”
However, one person claimed that the amount of makeup made her look like a “catfish.”
“Big success catfish lol,” they wrote.
“I don’t understand why we feel the need to cover up every flaw,” another wrote. “Hey, we’re humans, leave it alone.”
In another video posted to her YouTube channel six months ago, Worsham provided a more detailed tutorial, titling the clip: How to lose 50 pounds with makeup.
Before starting, she likes to look down to create a “more pronounced” double chin, then “contour” the double chin upwards toward the jawline.
“Pretty much wherever your double chin shows up, contour there,” she explained.
Worsham asked that no skin be shown, just the contours. Then she used a dense brush to blend everything together.
“I pat it on and try to concentrate it in the same area so it doesn’t spread everywhere,” she explained.
“You don’t want to mix it too much, but you also don’t want it to get too dark.”
If it gets too dark, I like to add a bit of foundation in my beauty blender and blend over it to make it look a little more natural.
But it seems Worsham isn’t the only one who has come up with a similar solution to double chins.
In October 2021, a dentist revealed something called the “squeak” technique that he claims celebrities use to hide their double chins on the red carpet.
London-based dental surgeon Dr Vikas Purinja says the technique involves closing the mouth, positioning the lower teeth behind the upper teeth and flattening the tongue to the roof of the mouth. He explained.
“This technique is called chirping,” Dr. Vikas explained in the video. “It is thought that this may result in a stronger jawline, more defined cheekbones, and even straighter teeth.
“It is thought to help by bringing the tongue above the mouth. This makes the cheeks less constricted and the roof of the mouth narrower.”
However, he said there hasn’t been much research behind this phenomenon.
