Hana Ho Hospitality is Mara Ocean Tavern The restaurant is scheduled to reopen in February 2024. The restaurant is one of five West Maui properties operated by the group, two of which were destroyed in the Lahaina wildfire on Aug. 8, 2023.
The restaurant was waiting for confirmation that the water was safe to drink before reopening to the public.

The Mara Ocean Tavern, Duckin’ and Paradiso still stand, but Down the Hatch and Breakwall Shave Ice Company were destroyed by fire. Plans are for it to be rebuilt at some point, and the owners are actively considering a location to move the business, according to an update in the company’s email newsletter.
