Artificial intelligence still dominates the world of technology, and in Brazil as well Mystrari The team wants to help developers overcome it.
Meistrari offers solutions for companies building products based on other large language models. Rodrigo Bobro and Henrique Cunha started the company in 2023 after seeing how difficult it was to build AI coordination, especially agile engineering.
They started with a product called Perfect Profile which was an AI that when you plug your LinkedIn into, it rewrites your profile to be more optimized for search. While doing this, there were applications to help with front-end and back-end development within days. However, when it came to coordinating the AI, it took weeks because they couldn’t find a solution that was easy to develop, Bobrow recalls.
So he and Cunha set out to develop a comprehensive automated system for instant creativity and output evaluation. A “mentor” is the instructions given to another LLM, which determines the quality of the output, Bobrow explained.
The platform requires no programming knowledge and provides quality control for all applications that use language models, such as ChatGPT, Cloud, and Cohere. This includes everything related to rapid management, testing of the system, evaluation of quality results, and monitoring of the system in production.
“We have three main experiences: one is the ability to craft a great claim. The second is the test suite where we will create 100 test cases for each of your brands so you can see how well your claim performs in real-life situations. The third is the evaluation system that allows you to create Multiple raters to evaluate something within your output.
For example, you can give a prompt to write something funny in a particular person’s style, and Meistrari will run it through the rater and give them an output score that will show you whether you should move forward or not.
Meistrari launched a proof of concept, called “Prompts Royale,” on GitHub in 2023. This caught the attention of prominent executives in the market, including the founders of Shopify, Cohere, and OtherSideAI, Bobrow told TechCrunch.
In fact, Shopify co-founder Tobi Lutke specifically sent a message to Meistrari asking for the security feature so Shopify could use it. This resulted in it getting over 100 stars on GitHub on the first day. And to reach many investors.
Although the company is in the early stages — less than five months into technology development, to be exact — Monashees and Audacious Ventures co-led a $4 million seed capital round and were joined by a group of angel investors, including Oleg Rogynskyy of People AI, Paul St. John, former CEO of GitHub, and Hugh Strange, former CPO at Nubank.
Bobrow said that a significant portion of the new capital will be deployed to build a team so it can continue developing AI infrastructure. A minimum viable product is expected to be launched in the next two months or so.
“One of our guiding principles is to be a natural language development environment,” Cunha said in an interview. “We’re seeing more and more code bases consisting of English rather than the formal language of instructions. At the same time, we’re seeing a lot of companies and engineering teams hard-coding claims into the code base. We want to help them have a true natural language IDE itself.”
