All Metra trains to and from Chicago’s Ogilvie Transit Center were stopped for more than an hour due to police activity, authorities said.
All trains on the Union Pacific West, North and Northwest lines were stopped Saturday night due to an investigation into an unspecified threat, Metra officials said.
In an update posted just before 6:30 p.m., the agency said trains would resume service shortly after an earlier investigation, but warned that delays could still occur.
The information that led to the investigation has not been made public, but early indications included an unsubstantiated bomb threat against the facility.
We will update this story as we learn more.
