The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Hubble Space Telescope has long been known for its ability to capture fascinating images of outer space. One such amazing image of the Sombrero Galaxy was taken by a space telescope. The galaxy is located at the southern edge of the galaxy-rich Virgo cluster, 28 million light-years from Earth.
The space agency shared an image on Instagram showing the galaxy in all its glory. The Spitzer Space Telescope captured galaxies in visible light, and he observed them in infrared light at four different microns: blue, green, orange, and red.
The caption accompanying the image reads, “Here we see the Sombrero Galaxy almost head on. The spiral galaxy has a diameter of 50,000 light years, about half the size of the Milky Way.At the center of the Sombrero Galaxy, scientists It is estimated that there is a black hole with a mass about 1 billion times that of our sun. ”

In the photo, the left and right edges of the Sombrero galaxy appear red, the center of the ring appears yellow-green, and the center of the galaxy appears light blue with a white core. Stars and galaxies appear scattered across the image.
Previously, NASA released a stunning and fascinating image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope showing a distant galaxy that just recently experienced a powerful supernova event.
