We were taught in some children’s books that people and animals come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and that each should be celebrated equally.
But until recently, that sentiment wasn’t reflected in the makeup industry at all.

However, her excitement was ruined when the makeup artist she was working with used concealer and foundation that would have been much more suitable for a fair-skinned Caucasian.
Mi Ran started filming a video, showing herself with fair skin and heavy makeup.
The make-up artist gestured to the highlighted areas of her face and said:
“Look, it’s bright here and dark here. I think it’s nice.”
Mi-ran became visibly emotional, looking over her shoulder at the makeup artist and saying:
“Well, it looks like a ghost.”
At the end of the video, Milan was seen on a voice call with a friend, and a preview shot showed her crying.

After multiple requests to know what Milan plans to do about the situation, she shared a follow-up video.
In a second video, Milan shared a quick summary of what happened while walking down a New York City sidewalk before rushing to the nearest Sephora.
The model said:
βIβm heading to Sephora, right in the middle. [fashion ]shoot. “
When Milan arrived at Sephora, she asked several employees if there was any makeup remover she could use to remove mismatched makeup from her face.
Miran confessed this while cleaning up.
“I’m very frustrated. I’m very tired. I hardly slept. I have another shoot after this.”
βItβs really frustrating having to deal with this 24/7.β
“For example, if you don’t know how to do makeup for black women, why did you do that? You all knew what I looked like before I came. It’s very disrespectful. For example, why did I do it at Sephora? Do you do your own makeup?β
Milan also said that while she usually carries her own makeup supplies, including the right foundation shade, she thought a makeup artist hired for New York Fashion Week would be more prepared. “It was,” he explained.
She also understandably didn’t want to carry around her makeup bag all day since this was just the first event of a very busy day.
Luckily, at the end of the video, Milan showed that she was able to spruce up her look while at Sephora.
“Can’t say I just had a complete breakdown.”
In addition to her beautiful looks, Milan also had the opportunity to collaborate with makeup artist Doni Davey. euphoria. She completed Milan’s already stunning new look with eyeshadow, blush, and lip color.
Most importantly, Megan Milan was clearly in a much more comfortable and happy mood by the end of the video.

of euphoria The makeup artist also posted a video of her own in response to Milan’s initial dilemma video, encouraging new makeup artists to always be thoroughly prepared for any client that walks through the door.
Not only did she challenge her students to wear a range of different shades, she also wanted them to know that sometimes they might need to mix and match their own shades. .
She also said that makeup artists sometimes “fail,” but it’s better to accept it and redo the look than try to convince the client that their look “looks better” when they actually agree. Those who pointed out that it looked good said it looked like a ghost.

Just like any other profession, there will be moments when we all make mistakes and have to redo the project we are working on.
This may be especially true for makeup artists who work with the appearance of living people. Not only does the shade vary slightly from person to person, but it can also vary due to things like summer sunburn, a cold that is going away, or acne flare-ups.
The best thing to do is admit that something was wrong, try again, and make it right the second time.
