OpenAI LP Today debuted ChatGPT Enterprise is a new version of ChatGPT chatbot with significantly more features than the original.
This service will be rolled out approximately 4 months after the company is established first suggested that it is under construction. Chatbots are intended for large organizations.
One of ChatGPT Enterprise’s main selling points is that it offers unlimited access to Advanced Data Analysis, a data science tool that OpenAI debuted earlier this month. This tool was originally known as Code Interpreter. It allows users to use natural language commands to perform mathematical calculations, visualize results, and reformat files.
ChatGPT is based on GPT-4, a large-scale language model developed by OpenAI. detailed first March. ChatGPT Enterprise provides access to extended implementations of the model. According to OpenAI, the enhanced implementation will offer twice the performance of his standard version, allowing users to receive responses to their prompts faster.
In the process, OpenAI has quadrupled the amount of data users can include in a single prompt. According to the company, requests sent to ChatGPT Enterprise can contain up to 32,000 tokens. In AI applications, a token is a unit of data that corresponds to some letter or number.
The large organizations that OpenAI targets with ChatGPT Enterprise have strict cybersecurity requirements. To address these requirements, OpenAI made their chatbots compliant with the SOC 2 cybersecurity standard. SOC 2 specifies a set of best practices that businesses should adopt to reduce the risk of hacking, such as encrypting customer data as it travels over the network.
An additional cybersecurity feature set is provided by ChatGPT Enterprise’s built-in management console.
According to OpenAI, the console will allow employees to centrally manage their ChatGPT accounts. It also provides the ability to monitor chatbot usage and enable single sign-on, allowing employees to log into multiple different business applications simultaneously. This technology eliminates the need for employees to use multiple passwords, reducing opportunities for hackers to steal login credentials.
The company today revealed that ChatGPT Enterprise is already being used by several early customers, including Canva Pty Ltd and Klarna Bank AB. “We plan to onboard as many companies as possible in the coming weeks,” the company added.
Along with the launch of ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI previewed some future enhancements planned for the service.
The company is working on an improved version of Advanced Data Analysis, a natural language data science tool built into chatbots. Additionally, OpenAI plans to roll out “more tools” that are similarly optimized for specific use cases. These use cases will span data analytics, marketing, customer support and several other areas, the company said.
Another way OpenAI plans to expand its chatbot’s capabilities is by expanding the pool of data available to answer user questions. Future enhancements will allow companies to “securely extend his ChatGPT knowledge with corporate data by connecting applications they already use.”
OpenAI will also launch another paid version of the chatbot called ChatGPT Business. It says the product will be designed for “any team size,” suggesting it will be more affordable than ChatGPT Enterprise. OpenAI has not announced when the upcoming features detailed today will be released.
