Circle first launched in 2020 in partnership with Gray Television to provide a 24/7 feed of country music and lifestyle. However, now Gray Television has announced that it will be winding down operations in preparation for closure on December 31, 2023. This was announced during Gray Telivsion’s third quarter earnings results from earlier this week.
The good news for fans of the network is that Circle’s programming isn’t gone, as the channel will be a streaming-only channel on Circle Country. According to a statement on the website, Circle Country can be found on Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Fubo, Redbox, Peacock, Xumo Play, and more. There is no word yet on whether Tubi, which has offered the channel in the past, will continue to offer the network.
Circle TV is currently available in more than 100 markets in the U.S. on Gray Television-owned stations and other partner networks. The stations will reportedly replace their feeds with one of two new OTA TV stations launching in January from Gray, Warner Bros. Discovery and Lionsgate.
