pizza monkey bread recipe
Pizza Monkey Bread is my new favorite way to enjoy pizza. Not only are they incredibly delicious, but these delicious pieces are perfectly portioned and fun to eat. Cut canned biscuit dough into quarters and mix with all your favorite pizza ingredients. Add everything to a bundt pan and bake until warm, cheesy and golden brown.
I don’t think there’s anything better than cheesy, warm, soft bread to loosen up with pepperoni and Italian seasoning. This is the recipe you want to make on game day, the holidays, or just a lazy weekend when you need an easy and crowd-pleasing appetizer.
pizza monkey bread ingredients
This pizza bread recipe is easy because it all starts with a refrigerated can of biscuits. Check the recipe card at the bottom of the post for exact measurements and ingredients.
- Refrigerated canned biscuits: The finished dough is so convenient! Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and separate a generous amount of soft bread.
- pepperoni: Slice the pepperoni in half so that a piece of pepperoni remains in each bite.
- Mozzarella cheese: Shredded mozzarella cheese gives this bread a classic pizza flavor.
- Parmesan cheese: It tastes best freshly grated, but it is also convenient to use it pre-packaged.
- butter: Mixing the bread and seasonings with melted butter gives it a rich flavor, allowing the spices to adhere to the bread and giving it a golden brown color the moment it’s baked.
- seasoning: A blend of Italian seasonings, garlic powder, and garlic salt adds flavor. To spice things up, add red pepper flakes.
- Fresh parsley: It’s a decorative option that adds color and freshness.
- Marinara sauce: Make homemade marinara sauce for dipping or use your favorite store-bought marinara sauce.

Pizza monkey bread variations
Customize your pizza pan just the way your family likes it by combining all the toppings.
- sauce: In addition to marinara, serve alfredo sauce as another option.
- cheese: Try adding other types of cheese to the mix! Other cheeses that melt well include cheddar, fontina, gouda, jack, muenster, provolone, and swiss cheese.
- Biscuit dough: Would you like to make homemade biscuits? These biscuits are perfect to use in this recipe.
- protein: It can be made without meat, or you can use sausage, salami, Canadian bacon, etc. in place of the pepperoni.
