Ravinder Tyagi, who has been working at the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) at Pragati Maidan for 33 years, said that during his interaction with Prime Minister Modi, his wife told him not to return home for three days till September 8. On Friday, PM Modi interacted with ‘Team G20’ at the Bharat Mandapam and credited them for the success of the G20 summit. “We have received praise from all corners and it is due to the hard work of all our staff members. The success of the G20 Summit is a credit to you (Team G20),” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister asked staff to sit down informally and share their experiences in their respective departments. He said this allows him to see his own performance in a broader perspective. He said that when we learn about the efforts of others, it will inspire us to do better. “Today’s event is about worker solidarity, you and I are Mazdoor,” he said.
Another constable from the CPRF shared his experience and told the Prime Minister how he managed to win a left-hand drive car in the G20. Around 3,000 people who contributed to the success of the G20 summit held in the capital earlier this month took part in the exchange. This includes those who have been working on the ground to ensure the smooth running of the summit. This interaction will involve personnel such as cleaners, drivers, waiters and other staff from various ministries. The theme of India’s G20 Presidency was “One Planet, One Family, One Future”. The New Delhi Declaration was adopted by G20 leaders on September 9, the first day of the summit.
