NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday called on the people of Delhi to help make the upcoming G20 summit a success, even though it may be inconvenient due to the presence of several world leaders in the capital next month.
The summit will be held in Delhi on September 9-10 and will conclude a year of consultations on various issues of global concern. The meeting is likely to be attended by more than 30 heads of state and dignitaries from the European Union and invited countries, as well as 14 heads of international organizations.
Modi said the city would host the G20 mega-event and that people could face certain inconveniences because of it, adding: “We have to make sure it succeeds.”

“From September 5th to September 15th, we apologize for the inconvenience.” will be stopped, but some things are needed,” Modi said.
“Delhi residents have a greater responsibility to the G20. You have a responsibility to keep the national tricolor flying high and proud,” he said.
