1 cup of ragi
1/2 cup urad dal
2 tablespoons rava (semolina)
salt (optional)
1 tsp oil/ghee
preparation
Place the ragi and urad dal in a large container and wash the grains and lentils.
Soak together for 4-5 hours
Drain the water and put it in a blender and mix well.
Add rava to the mixture and grind again
Cover and leave to ferment overnight
The next morning, salt the dough and grease the mold with ghee or oil before pouring it into a clean container.
Steam for 25-30 minutes and remove from heat.
Open the lid after 15 minutes and enjoy the warm idlis with chutney or sambar.
