The holiday season has arrived. If there’s anyone who knows how to throw a party and have a bit of a revelry, it’s Laney Wilson.her fifth fresh CMA victory,some holiday specialand Hardy’s Alabama Story and Crow Tour, she’s busier than ever. She should celebrate a little too. What better time than the holiday season to take a break and celebrate with your girlfriend’s friends and family?
Lainey will be taking a well-deserved vacation this Christmas, and like most of us, she will be heading home to spend time with her family and eat lots of Christmas cookies.she spoke with Country life She shares her own holiday traditions and favorite ideas for hosting a holiday. Watch the conversation below.
CL: The holidays are here and you’re busier than everyone I know combined. What are your vacation plans this year?
LW: “This holiday season, I’m going to take a step back and enjoy some time with my family! It’s been an amazing, fast-paced year, and I’m excited to be quiet for a little while and enjoy the experience. So you can see that I’m finishing the year out and having fun outside and just resting. ”
CL: Are there any traditions from your childhood in Louisiana that you love? We know you all have a different flavor there. Do you still carry them around during the holidays?
LW: “Louisiana definitely has a different flavor, and coming home is one of my favorite times, especially during crawfish season. We love getting together around the table, sharing stories, and enjoying quality time together.” I love my family.”
CL: I grew up in South Georgia and currently live in Alabama. If there’s one thing us Southern girls have, it’s that we know how to cook and eat. What is your favorite holiday food/drink to enjoy this time of year?
LW: “Oh, there are so many things. We love the simple things: baking Christmas cookies, decorating, making sure to eat, drinking wine and having a bonfire, playing music. It’s just quiet enjoyment on our land.”
CL: Speaking of wine, what is your favorite holiday cocktail? Stella Rosa Wine you love!
LW: “These days, I’m a red wine person. There are a lot of celebrations these days, so Moscato d’Asti is my favorite for toasting. Both wines go well with all the sweet moments I’ve had.” gets creative with cocktails and loves their custom ‘Bell Bottom Berries’ drinks. ”

CL: Do you have any special hosting tips you like to use when inviting people?
LW: “I love giving love to my friends, so hosting during the holidays is my favorite! It’s hard to get everyone together, so it feels great to end the year enjoying each other’s company. It’s all about the atmosphere: you have to have good decorations, good stories, good food and, of course, celebratory drinks. Stella Rosa.”
CL: Recently photographed: christmas at graceland special. Everyone was so amazing and we were literally glued to the TV the whole time! You have performed in many great historical locations. What was it like adding Graceland to your list? What was it like singing the King’s most famous song at home?
LW: “Performing at Graceland was such a surreal moment. Like everyone else, I grew up listening to Elvis’ music, so to be able to perform in such an iconic and historic location was such a surreal moment. It was an experience I’ll never forget.” [Elvis’ granddaughter] riley [Keough] They did a great job of bringing together artists from different genres to pay homage to a true icon. ”
CL: Last but not least, you have inspired so many people with your music and by being yourself. You’ve also inspired a lot of great costumes. What do you wear to a holiday party?Even on special festivals bell bottoms Or do you need to know about wide-brimmed hats? What do you enjoy doing when you’re not wearing bell bottoms? What is Rainie wearing while eating her Christmas cookies on the couch?
LW: “You know, I always wear bell bottoms and I’m always ready to go! At this time of year, the more festive your outfit is, the better. I love pajama sets. My Christmas cookie-eating outfit is what I wear then, but usually I’m sweaty with my hair on my head and wearing slippers!”
