“The Office” was more than just an award-winning comedy series to some fans.

“The Office helped me get through some of the darkest days of my life. I can’t thank you enough. Thank you, Melanie (Alaska Flight Attendant),” the note said. .
Wilson responded to the message with a post on X.
“I didn’t even know who dropped this on my lap at PDX airport, but I’m so grateful for the kindness of Alaska Airlines flight attendant Melanie,” he wrote.

He continued, “I’m so humbled to be a part of a show that has affected me, moved me, comforted me, inspired me and continues to do that! That’s so rare. The whole Office family, the cast, the script. I would like to thank the house, the staff, and especially the audience. (Note: This is not an open invitation to provide me with a note on a napkin!)
this is not the first time Wilson was recognized for his former role during the trip.
In April 2023, the actor shared on his Instagram Story that the man sitting next to him on a plane was watching The Office.
“When the person sitting next to you has no idea who you are…” he wrote on the screen while nodding in the video.
“How amazing that the other day a video of a man sitting on a plane watching ‘The Office’ next to me went viral,” Wilson wrote in the second slide of the post.
After fans asked for more stories, Wilson told what happened next.
“Everyone keeps asking me, did that guy ever recognize you? And so, after five hours of watching ‘The Office,’ I finally nudged him.” he said.
After a short conversation about whether the first season was good or not, the guy realized who he was talking to.
“His head exploded and we had so much fun and laughter,” Wilson said. “Well then, it’s a happy ending.”
