Passive PC systems are slowly becoming a thing of the past, overshadowed by expensive chassis designs that cater to a niche market of enthusiasts. But the bigger problem is that the main components of a PC demand increased power consumption, which is too high to accommodate even large heatsinks.
A Redditor named Prestigious_Gate_615 devised a custom system utilizing two Noctua NH-P1 heatsinks and 3D printed parts. The RTX 4060 appears to be a good choice for this configuration given its lower power requirements compared to other GPUs in the RTX 4060 series. However, even with this card he needs cooling of the VRM and memory, and the task in this case is achieved with a copper heatsink.

However, I had to adjust the power for both the GPU and CPU. The GPU’s TDP was reduced from 115W to 90W, resulting in temperatures reaching 80-85°C under load. When paired with the 8-core Ryzen 7 7700X, the CPU runs at 88W in Eco mode and reaches a thermal limit of 95°C. The system is based on the MSI B650I Edge Mini-ITX motherboard and has a total of 64GB of G.Skill Flare X memory running at 6000 MT/s in EXPO mode.

Both the GPU and CPU are installed in the NH-P1 cooler. The CPU installation process was relatively easy, but the GPU required a custom-designed bracket. For those interested, the author has shared his 3D model so that others can easily replicate similar systems.
