What Samsung copied from Google
Samsung has apparently copied a lot from Google this year. Pixel 8 users are already familiar with all of his Generative AI features, which Samsung is supposedly promoting with the tagline “Galaxy AI.” The first promo in the gallery below shows how the Magic Editor clone will look on his Samsung phone. Thanks to Galaxy AI, moving, enlarging, or changing objects in photos will become more common on Galaxy S24 and Co. His two renders of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra above also confirm information about the camera hardware that has been leaked many times in the past.
Do I need a paid subscription for AI features?
Very alarming is the mention of a possible subscription model for Galaxy AI functionality. Current leaks suggest that new AI features on supported Galaxy smartphones will be free until at least 2025, after which some features may become paid in some form. Unfortunately, details have not yet been revealed. Google doesn’t (yet) charge extra for AI features, so such plans are unlikely to be popular with Samsung Galaxy S24 buyers.
