“I’m looking for something different, fresh and fun,” says Sophie Turner as we stroll through a sprawling castle, identified only as being somewhere in the south of France. Saint Germain’s new global summer campaigna romantic comedy-style short film, chronicles Turner’s journey to find her “perfect match.” (Spoiler alert: it’s a tall, breezy Hugo Spritz.)
I feel the same way as Turner. I too am looking for something new to spice up my summer, and my desire for change tends to lead to new beauty experiments. (Though I’d be lying if I said vibrant cocktails don’t sound super appealing right now.) Luckily, this short film gives me just the inspiration I need. Turner shows off the trendy haircut we’ve seen on a growing number of celebrities, including Gigi Hadid, Laura Harrier, and Selena Gomez. In the 1 minute and 11 seconds it took me to watch the video, I was completely enthralled. Below, I’ve got all the details on the bright, bouncy hairstyle, which pairs beautifully with Turner’s favorite spritz.
I’m always thinking about beauty (hey, that’s my job!), and I immediately noticed Turner’s blonde, breezy “crabic cut” within the first few seconds of the video. What is a “crabic cut”? Well, it’s a “lob” (long bob) cut down to the collarbone. (Get it?) This falls into relaxed bob territory, but is long enough that you can throw it in a ponytail. The result is airy, natural, and exudes the perfect southern French energy. It’s also great for embracing your natural texture as opposed to a stiffer bob (like a blunt bob). Prada Bob) may require some sophisticated styling.
It’s no wonder Cravicat has become so popular this summer: The hashtag has racked up over 16 million views on TikTok. The Hugo Spritz, a cocktail made with St. Germain elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and soda water, has also become a social media sensation, garnering over 44 million views on TikTok. Several users have even declared that Hugo Spritz is (surprisingly) a contender for Aperol’s throne, an assessment that seems justified given Turner’s endorsement.
Summer cocktail battles aside, a relaxed clavicle cut is the best way to refresh your summer look without diving into a head-on (or collarbone-on?) bob. “I’m very picky,” Turner says in the video, and I agree. I gave up on my plans for flowing, Rapunzel-length hair in favor of a cute, short cut that’s easy to style. Turner’s cut, like her own spritz, seems to suit me just fine. Instead of inspiration photos, I’ll text my stylist a video link.
