SpaceX canceled the Starlink delivery mission with its Falcon 9 rocket on Thursday and rescheduled the launch from California on Friday. The Starlink 7-11 mission is currently scheduled to launch at 6:15 PM PT (9:15 PM ET).
The company called off the launch Thursday after loading propellant into the rocket at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The reason for the delay was not disclosed.
This will be SpaceX’s seventh launch so far this year, and the third from the Golden State. On board are his 22 Starlink V2 Mini satellites, which will join his constellation of more than 5,300 satellites currently in orbit.
Spaceflight Now will provide live coverage of the mission approximately 30 minutes before liftoff.
The first stage booster supporting this mission, SpaceX fleet tail number B1063, will make its 16th launch and landing on this flight. Previously, he supported the launch of NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft Transporter 7 rideshare mission and his 10 Starlink flights in the past.
Approximately eight and a half minutes after liftoff, the B1080 is scheduled to land on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You,” located in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Baja California. This is OCISLY’s 80th booster landing and SpaceX’s 208th droneship landing to date.
Meanwhile, the company continues to monitor the progress of the Ax-3 mission, which launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Thursday afternoon. Four astronauts are flying aboard Crew Dragon Freedom to dock with the International Space Station on Saturday morning.
