Brevard Space Coast Launch Site, SpaceX ULA NASA rocket
Let’s take a quick look at which rockets are launched from the various Brevard Launch Sites.
Quickly engulfed by a thick blanket of fog, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket flew from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in the dark early Saturday morning.
SpaceX’s Starlink 6-28 mission launched 23 more Internet Beam satellites into low Earth orbit from Launch Complex 40 at 12:05 a.m. ET. However, the rocket was essentially invisible to spectators from near Cocoa Beach.
Crews delayed the Falcon 9 launch from 24:00 after Florida’s east coast was hit by a “nameless storm” that caused widespread flooding across Palm Bay Thursday night, closing roads and submerging vehicles. Time was postponed.
The Falcon 9 first stage booster landed on SpaceX’s Just Read the Instructions drone ship, marking its 11th mission in the Atlantic Ocean.
Next up on the Cape: SpaceX hasn’t announced it yet, but a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency navigation alert indicates the company’s next launch slot will open late Tuesday night.
The launch period begins on Tuesday at 11:00 PM EST and extends until 3:31 AM on Wednesday. These times reflect the time frame of the Starlink 6-28 mission launch window.
