Some entries are a bit predictable. Twitter died and was replaced by X. X is exactly like Twitter, with some differences. Some we barely noticed, like Netflix stopping shipping his DVDs.
Google Glass is gone again, this time in the form of an enterprise edition. Amazon has discontinued both shopping donations and Kindle print subscriptions.
Glass wasn’t Google’s only victim. Gmail lost its basic HTML version and smartly discontinued his whiteboard product, his Jamboard. The company also sold its Internet domain business to focus on its core business. Other notable Google closures include the popular podcast app and his Usenet support for groups. Oh, and let’s not forget our experiment with offering Pixel phones as a subscription. That’s also done.
