Last year there was a really great video by Marques Brownlee about moon photography. Everyone was like, “Is that fake?” Isn’t it fake? ” There was a debate about what constituted a real picture. And in reality, there is no such thing as a real photograph. As soon as you have a sensor that captures something, you reproduce [what you’re seeing], it doesn’t mean anything. There are no real photos. You can try to define a real photo by saying “I took that photo,” but if you use AI to optimize the zoom, autofocus, and scene, is it real? Or is it real? Are they all filters? No actual photo, just the end point.
“There is no such thing as an actual photo,” says a Samsung executive.
