The Royal Malakiya Villa is the ultimate villa blending indoor and outdoor living. Luxury just doesn’t seem to be enough of a word at this so-called “seven-star hotel.” The walls and floors feature 24,000 square meters of marble, the same used to carve Michelangelo’s David. The all-suite hotel also has the world’s largest Swarovski crystal ceiling, with 21,000 crystals worth 1.3 million UAE dirhams ($354,000). As standard, all guests at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab can request airport transfers in the hotel’s Rolls Royce, and every room comes with complimentary Hermes amenities. So what adds to the hotel’s most luxurious room? The two-bedroom Presidential Suite is a palatial maisonette covered in gold leaf and velvet, measuring 7,179 square feet (667 square meters). It boasts butler service, a private en-suite bar, and a nine-choice pillow menu. Additionally, the two main bathrooms feature full-size Jacuzzi bathtubs surrounded by Roman-style gilded marble columns.

The most expensive room in Dubai, and one of the most expensive in the world, is the Royal Mansion. The sprawling 11,840-square-foot (1,100-square-metre) duplex has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Vertical ResortThe suite features double-height floor-to-ceiling windows offering 360-degree views of the Palm and the Gulf of Mexico. With a private entrance, elevator and personal butler, the room was designed for ultimate privacy. Guests can also host dinner in the 12-seat dining room, where chefs from the resort’s 17 restaurants (including some from celebrity chefs) will cook in the suite’s private chef kitchen. There’s also a Louis Vuitton ping pong table and limited edition board games from luxury crystalware brand Baccarat. Because every stay is customized, the starting price is by request, but is estimated to be around $100,000 per night.
