My first perfume was Mugler’s Angel. lived for it. I vividly remember smelling it for the first time as a child with my girlfriend’s grandmother. She had a sample of it at her house and I couldn’t get enough of it. It smelled so luxurious and sweet, and I remember thinking that the person wearing it was clearly someone special. I can’t remember if I was the one who bought the first bottle, or if my girlfriend’s sister bought it for me and I’ve been using it ever since (probably the latter). But looking back now, this scent, while playful and fresh with notes of praline, patchouli, and bergamot, feels more like an adult scent aimed at someone older than me. . Even now, when I smell that smell, I feel very nostalgic.
I consider myself a scent monogamist, so it’s hard for me to choose a signature scent. That being said, I can’t get enough of Celui’s The One. I swear I should be the PR for this perfume because so many of my friends love it. There’s something very familiar and comforting about its scent. It’s like being sprayed with a big, warm hug. It has notes of jasmine, gardenia, cedarwood, and marigold, creating an uplifting blend that you’ll never regret wearing.
