Official data showed today, Monday, that the unemployment rate in Turkey fell in July to 9.4%.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said the figure decreased by 0.2% month on month.
The number of unemployed people aged 15 and over fell by 38,000 to 3.29 million in July, the data showed.
The unemployment rate was 7.6% for men and 12.9% for women.
The agency said a seasonally adjusted measure of labor underutilization fell 1.5 percentage points to 22.7%.
The measure of labor underutilization has declined significantly since early 2021 but has risen slightly in recent months.
The employment rate came in at 48.4% in July, up 0.5 percentage points month on month.
The data showed that the labor force participation rate rose in July to 53.4% from 53% in the previous month.
