The beginning of the year is usually an opportunity for asset managers to forecast how they think their clients’ funds should be utilized. We want to hear from asset managers, advisors and private banks what they think their clients should do. Contrarian ideas and special ideas are welcome. Last year, rising interest rates took away some momentum from private markets such as venture capital. What’s the outlook?
February
It’s time to look at technology again. There has been a huge focus on AI in recent months, and we expect to see more of the same in 2024. What are the asset management use cases for AI? What are its benefits? And how can those benefits be measured and monitored? Asset managers will need to understand the value-added impact of AI. How should AI be demonstrated and transparent about how it is used? Can AI have a significant impact on fees, costs, profits, revenue generation, and building a new pipeline of customers? • How can AI work with areas such as ESG investing, behavioral finance, risk management more generally, and customer reporting?
Moving away from AI, we focus on the continued digitization of the value chain. and how technology is needed to train bankers and advisors. Areas such as regtech (handling compliance issues such as KYC checks) should also be considered.
