HO CHI MINH CITY — Vietnam’s economy grew 6.93 percent in the second quarter from a year earlier, up from 5.66 percent in the January-March period, official data showed on Saturday, as the country seeks to recover from the pandemic.
Amid what is described as an uneven recovery, India, the supply chain hub of Southeast Asia, maintained steady export growth of 12.5 percent in the second quarter, led by strength in electronics and seafood, according to the General Statistics Office.
