A beloved holiday tradition is getting off the ground and will soon be coming to Illinois.
Featuring bright lights, live music and Santa Claus, Canadian Pacific’s Holiday Train, which travels trains across North America, is heading to the Midwest with a stop in Maine this week to begin its annual tour.
The annual tour, which raises money for food banks in the United States and Canada, ends in Alberta, Canada, on December 19, just in time for Christmas.
During November and December, the train makes several stops in the Midwest, including Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
Here’s a complete schedule of when the trains will stop in the Illinois and Chicago area: This includes where to go, when the event starts, and who will perform.
November 25th – Bensenville
Park adjacent to the intersection, Railroad Avenue, and S. York Street.
