In Italy, a woman faced a dress code issue after trying to enter a famous Milan church and was asked to cover up because she showed “unpleasant” skin, highlighting differences in dress codes at religious institutions.
Fashion designer Ariana Olivia Bolaños recorded on her TikTok page in 2021 how she was dress coded for wearing clothes that revealed an inappropriate amount of skin while trying to enter a religious facility.
In the video, which has amassed 195,200 views since resurfacing this week, Ariana stands outside the historic venue showing off her full gear.

The fashionista wore white tennis shoes and mid-thigh denim shorts. She subtitled the clip, “When she wore dress code at the Duomo in Milan because her knees were showing.”
Ariana tried to cover up her body with a modest white, slightly sheer cover-up that barely covered her body.
Her video sparked mixed reactions regarding tourist etiquette when visiting places of worship, with one person posting on social media: “I’ve been to many places that have embraced the culture and followed the rules.” wrote.
Another person commented: “I visited a Catholic church in Poland last year and was not allowed inside because I was wearing shorts. I was not offended.”
Ariana documented the incident on TikTok, showing off her outfit in white tennis shoes and mid-thigh denim shorts.
