X, formerly known as Twitter, is rolling out a new option to allow users to share their community posts with all followers. This is very similar to posting a message in a thread on an entire Slack channel.
An X engineer announced the feature with a post saying it’s available to users on iOS first and will be available on web and Android soon. Users who want to broadcast a community post can select the “Also send to followers” option while posting in the community. The post will be visible on the poster’s profile as well.
Since the communities on the platform are public, users can see the post. But, unless they are part of that community, they cannot respond to it. If users want to interact with a live community post, they can quote it. It is not clear whether the social network will give communities any option to block streams.
In the past few months, X has focused on making improvements to communities and adding new features to better compete with the likes of Reddit and other Facebook. The company has Enable post sorting for pinned communities, A way to highlight your community on your profileThe ability to Private accounts to join communities.

Until now, X has restricted community creation to premium accounts. However, in October, the company opened its doors Create a community for users in Japan. It was a social network too View posts from your joined communities To the algorithmic feed (“for you”) of the past few months.
