Xbox Live, Microsoft’s multiplayer gaming and digital media network, was hit by technical issues on Tuesday, with thousands of users reporting issues accessing the service.
According to monitoring site Downdetector, user-reported issues with Xbox Live began to spike around 2:15 p.m. ET on Tuesday. As of 2:25 p.m., the site had logged more than 23,000 outage reports, more than three-quarters of which indicated login issues. Some Xbox Live users reported seeing error messages saying the service was undergoing “routine maintenance.”
Other services run by Microsoft, such as Minecraft and the Microsoft Store, also saw high reports of user errors on Downdetector.
Check of Xbox Status Page There were no current indications that there were any issues. As of 2:45 p.m., the page said that “all services are up and running.” Around the same time, a Microsoft Flight Simulator support account Posts “We’ve received reports of an Xbox Live outage, preventing you from logging into your Xbox account. Check Xbox Live Status for updates soon. We apologize for the inconvenience,” X said.
Xbox Live users took to social media to complain about technical issues.
